It’s sustainable from ‘head to toe’

Imagine the irony if a purported sustainable space doesn’t take the environment into consideration and does it more harm than good. This is why Mercedes-Benz gets it right, right off the bat.

Green location

The concept store, in partnership with HYPEMAKER, the global creative studio of HYPEBEAST, is located at Great World City, a Building and Construction Authority (BCA) Green Mark GoldPlus certified sustainable building. The store itself is also working towards attaining its own Green Mark certification, which essentially recognises outstanding efforts in environmental sustainability in the built environment.

Nature indoors

Besides the strategic location, the store itself is decked out in green and sustainable furnishings. Particularly eye-catching, and by far my favourite feature, is a prominently green plant wall designed by Mosscape. 

Conspicuously shaped in the map of Singapore, different plants are visual representations of the state of the country’s natural forests, inviting visitors to consider impact of day-to-day living on the natural environment around us.
